    Purchased on May 14, 2016 a Queen Tempur-contour Elite Mattress and Queen Tempur-ergo Premier Grey Base. The salesman had my mom lay down on every single bed, starting with the least expensive through the most expensive - old sales technique to wear down the customer. Sold her on a 90 day guarantee return policy claiming you could exchange the bed at any time within 90 days for the same price. In other words, if the bed goes on sale after your purchase, the bed is still worth the amount of money you paid. He never said the bed had to be the same price or greater. Return July 14, 2016 (60 days) After trying the bed and being unsatisfied, mom went back to the store to return the bed. ONLY NOW she finds out it can only be exchanged for a bed of the same price or more. Not a refund in any way. The sales manager said, "Rather than cause a big deal, the home office probably wouldn't like this, but I will get you a couple hundred dollars back." The bed was on sale for the same price plus an additional 10%. Within the 90 days of your purchase, if the bed goes on sale at their store or any store has a lower price, you are guaranteed a refund for the price difference. The new mattress picked was the same price, plus now offering an extra 10% off. Additionally, the Queen Tempur-ergo Premier Grey Base was priced at $1,999.99. Billed for $2,099.99 - an extra $100. Which was still on sale when went back to the store. When we went to return, the sales manager was there and explained everything the salesman had failed to disclose. However, the sales manager said he couldn't honor the discounts because he wasn't the salesman who rang it up. We have purchased 2 other beds in the past without any problem. So, we contacted American Mattress through their website to inform them of the experience and have never received a response of any kind. On September 20, 2016, I decided to write a Yelp review and shortly after posting received a message on Yelp from Jason, their Social Media Manager. He extended his apologies and requested the receipt/order number and best contact info. I replied with the requested information and was assured that management would be contacting me to resolve this issue. As of November 6, 2016 I still had heard nothing from management. I went onto my Yelp messages to inform the social media manager of this and the first thing I noticed was that my messages were no longer labeled from "Jason," but now from "Amanda F (Social Media Manger)." Then, adding more confusion to the mix, when I tried to reply the message box stated, "This company is no longer receiving messages." Also, I'm not sure what happened to Jason, but I would get rid of social media manager, "Amanda F" considering her solution to resolving issues is to turn off messaging and ignore customers. From social media manager, to salesman, to sales manager, to upper management, it is clear nobody working for this company actually does their job. This company obviously has no business ethics whatsoever.

    Nice salesman named Blake helped us choose good mattress in our price range. Bought mattress Saturday night it was delivered Monday morning. Very satisfied with customer service, price and delivery.

    There is really no need to shop around anywhere else for a mattress. Steve at American Mattress is extremely knowledgeable and honest. This was the first place we went to shop for a mattress but decided to go down the street to Sleepy's just to shop around a bit and see what else was out there. Well, that was a waste of time. Steve is a respectful guy and truly has his customer's best interests at heart. Instead of bringing us to the most expensive models first, he brought us to models in our price range. He is a no BS salesman. We expected our mattress shopping experience to last several days...nope, just a couple hours and we were good to go. We ended up getting a mattress that we really liked at an excellent price (along with free delivery, free mattress protector, and a nice little discount). Thanks, Steve!
